My tasks
Tasks in Mango Inventory don’t live on a separate to-do list — they arise from the work itself: someone reports a defect, a check becomes due, a stock level falls below its minimum. “My tasks” collects all of it in one place — for you and your team, sorted by due date; the only way off the list is getting it done.

What lands here
Section titled “What lands here”Not every row is built the same: tickets, orders and check rounds carry an assignment and usually a due date, stocktake rows follow the assignment inside the stocktake, and the rest are computed reminders that disappear by themselves once the work is done. These are the rows you’ll see most often:
- Tickets — reported defects, upcoming maintenance and checks, with a responsible person or team → Tickets
- Orders — requests waiting to be fulfilled; they show up for the assigned person or their team → Orders
- Min. stock — consumables below their minimum, before the shelf is empty: visible to everyone responsible for orders and additionally to whoever is set as “Responsible” on the affected location → Restocking consumables
- Check rounds — your due checks from a maintenance plan, bundled into one row per plan (“Check round · 4 open”) → Maintenance plans
- Stocktake — one row per running stocktake, with live progress across all the areas you count → Stocktaking
- Review your captures — one row for your open captures from the mobile app; the review happens on the “Drafts” page at the computer or right on the phone → Items
My tasks and My team
Section titled “My tasks and My team”The list shows everything you should act on — grouped by due date, overdue work in red at the top: tasks assigned directly to you, and open tasks of your teams (marked “via team …”). That way the whole facility team sees the same open work, and nothing hinges on a single person. “Take over” pulls a team task to you; if someone else takes it over, it moves to the “My team” section — who is working on it stays visible. Finished work leaves the list; closed tickets and orders stay traceable in the history.
The second perspective is one click away: “Opened by me” shows — instead of the work waiting for you — what you reported or ordered yourself: one row per request with its current status, newest first; the history below collects the closed ones.
Automatic responsibility
Section titled “Automatic responsibility”So that new work starts in the right place, each organization has a “Default responsible” (Settings → Organization, “Org defaults” section; initially the person who created the organization) — people and teams can both be picked, and that’s where every ticket and order lands when nothing more specific applies. If a team is chosen, all team members see the work under “My tasks” and can take it over.
The per-area overrides sit above it: under Settings → Ticket settings, “Default assignees” sets the responsibility per ticket type (defects → facility management, maintenance → IT support), and Settings → Order settings does the same for new orders under “Default assignee”. A field with no choice of its own shows “Inherits: …” with the name that applies instead — so you always see who gets the work. A maintenance plan has its own mandatory “Assignee” field and sends its check tickets there; if that choice no longer applies, the chain below takes over. And at creation you can always pick someone yourself — neither a ticket nor an order is ever unassigned. New work distributes itself; no one has to forward reports by hand.
The other areas bring their own responsibility. A stocktake decides at the start who is “Assigned by default to”: that person counts every location you don’t assign individually — individual assignments on the overview win, and they cover sublocations too. For min. stock, the row follows the place: it shows up for everyone responsible for orders and additionally for whoever is set as “Responsible” on the affected location (or the nearest one above it) → Restocking consumables. Every item also carries a “Responsible person”, which you can prefill per category (Settings → Categories & fields, “Defaults” section) and per model — it creates no task row, but it drives notifications about that item. Only “Review your captures” has no responsibility notion: the row shows your own captures and nothing else.
